Kat Dennings couldn’t offer much when Metro asked the actress about reprising her role as‘Darcy’ in the Marvel sequel. The star did, however, offer brief preconceived thoughts about how the Alan Taylor-directed film will differ from the first. 

“I can’t tell you a lot,” Dennings said. “I don’t know exactly what they’re releasing, so I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say. And if I say the wrong thing, I’m going to probably be assassinated,” she joked, referring to the ‘snipers’ that other Marvel actors have made countless mentions of. More earnestly, Dennings continued, “The experience has been fantastic. I think the atmosphere of this movie is going to feel a lot more authentic for fans. I think that will be really cool.” 

Not much is known regarding Dennings’ role.Though, filming coverage last year revealed prominence of a character, named Ian Boothby played by Jonathan Howard, believed to be Darcy’s new boyfriend in the sequel.

Deadline is reporting that Kat Dennings, star of CBS’ 2 Broke Girls will reprise her role as Darcy Lewis for the sequel to Marvel’s Thor. Darcy was Jane Foster’s (Natalie Portman) sidekick, as well as the comic relief.

(Skip to the 13:45 ) “I do know the answer to that,” Dennings shly replies when asked if she’ll return for Thor 2 or any other MCU installment. “[However] I do not have the clearance to talk…interpret that as you will.” She continues, “I’ve asked when I can say things, but apparently I can’t yet, so that will come soon” 

If Kat Dennings really isn’t returning for the sequel, I don’t see why she wouldn’t be able to give a flat out “no” when asked. Of course, you never know with Marvel. What do you think?
