According to Screen Daily, The Avengers 2 will begin shooting at Pinewood-Shepperton in early 2014, while production is set to get underway later this year. While this isn’t necessarily an indication that a lot of exteriors will be filmed in the UK (it is after all unlikely that the team will be relocating from their New York base), a good chunk of Thor: The Dark World takes place in London, while various part of the countryside were used to fill in for Asgard. James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy meanwhile will also take advantage of Shepperton Studios when filming on that movie begins in the summer.
AMC has been wrong in the past and simply used assumed runtimes before (such as initially listing The Amazing Spider-Man at 90 minutes) until official confirmation was obtained.
Iron Man 3 is due to hit on May 3rd and the run time for the length of the movie looks to have become known coming in and revealed by AMC Theaters to run at 2 hours and 9 minutes.
In spite of the Australian actor remaining consistent about not discussing his films before they’re released, Guy Pearce opened up to Marvel.com recently about his role inIron Man 3 as AIM scientist Aldrich Killian.
Aldrich Killian’s primary motivation:
Killian is an interesting character as he’s somebody who came into this world with a number of physical disabilities. He’s never been able to accept those limitations though and has spent most of his life trying to overcome them in any way he can. His tenacity and blind determination in fighting for a better life are seen by some as irritating, as he often comes across as obnoxious. He just won’t accept the cards he was dealt, and being as intelligent as he is, has real drive to change and become a different person. So we find him at the start of the film in a flashback and we see the ambitious, almost annoying, guy that he is. He takes opportunities to try and latch onto people like Tony Stark. So you see this very ambitious character and you see him later on in the film having made a change, and Tony and the other people that have met him early on kind of go, “How did this happen? How did he do this?” But he’s a dangerous character. He wants to become all-powerful. That’s sort of a driving force with him and Tony Stark realizes eventually what this guy is capable of.
Revealing what he’s most excited to see in the finished film:I think the way Extremis works through people’s bodies. Often the visual effects guys would say, “At this moment, we’re going to see pulsing veins up your neck and we’re going to see that your eyes are going to sort of glow orange.” So, they had a few different ideas about how that was going to go and they were obviously very excited about pushing the envelope and doing things they haven’t done before.
New Iron man 3 Teaser- debuted at 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards
We speculated about what BecomeIronMan.com might mean when it was launched a couple of months ago, but none of us guessed that it would allow fans to actually suit up as Iron Man…well, sort of anyway! The UK version of the site has now gone live, and as you can see from the screengrabs below, it offers up the locations that the event will be taking place at and the promise that you will be able to see yourself in the Iron Man suit with the use of motion capture technology.

Very little is known regarding the “big space epic” expansion of Marvel’s cinematic universe, titled Guardians of the Galaxy. And while a director hasn’t even been announced yet, an alleged summary of the movie’s plot has already surfaced via two sites, Production Weekly and It’s On The Grid. Focusing on the main concept, main character and main conflict, the plausible logline indicates the much-anticipated film will be about:
“A U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.”
Considering the two separate sources are considerably legit industry sites, the logline is plausible. Of course, we still must await confirmation. Anyhow, the “U.S. pilot” mentioned in the summary is likely Peter Quill, better known as Star-Lord. And the “futuristic ex-cons” may evidently refer to the other Guardians - Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Groot, Rocket Raccoon.
Another possibility for the U.S. pilot is Vance Astrovik, also known as Vance Astro. In the comics, he joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 18, becoming the youngest in the astronaut training program. Volunteering for the first manned interstellar mission ever conducted by the U.S. years later, he was launched into space; landing on a planet called Alpha Centauri. And this led to the the 1969 Guardians’ formation. Perhaps they’re villains?
We knew Agent Coulson would be the lead of S.H.I.E.L.D. show but we didn’t know how this would accomplish this seeing as how Coulson died in The Avengers. Many theorized that Coulson would be seen in flashback, that he was really a robot, a Skrull shape-shifter or something else equally outlandish. Well S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producerJoss Whedon told the crowd at SXSW that Coulson is in fact returning from the dead.
“I’ll tell you guys this, Heimlich,” Whedon joked, before effectively clamming up about the show. “I can’t talk about it,” he admitted, but said that he did bring Coulson back from the dead for the ABC drama. “Yes. For realsies.”
Iron Man 3 Image Shows Off Tony Stark’s New Audi
After parting ways for The Avengers last year, the Iron Man 3 movie will not only reunite Tony Stark with his Malibu mansion, but also his trademark vehicle: the Audi. As seen in the newest trailer. Audi e-tron, the German automaker’s first electric car, but not just for product placement. Variety reports that “Marvel was looking for a car partner that could provide a hybrid or electric-powered convertible for the movie since the drop top plays a significant role in the script.”

New Japanese Poster For Iron Man 3 Unveiled
Journalists were invited to an Iron Man 3 press event sometime before the Super Bowl. In addition to Q&As, the lucky group were shown 15 minutes of footage that begins nearly 30 minutes into the films running time.IGN dropped a detailed, spoiler-heavy description. These excerpts describe scenes that immediately follow the downfall of Tony Stark’s Malibu mansion.
Latest issue of SFX Magazine will feature an exclusive chat with Kevin Feige, in anticipation ofIron Man 3. Of course, Feige also discusses plans for other Phase Two films:
The Thor film and the Guardians Of The Galaxy film certainly are cosmic. Guardians and Thor will take the brunt of the cosmic side of the universe, particularly Guardians, which is 95% in space.
I think Iron Man 3 shows the other side of Phase 2, which is delving deeper into the characters. Throwing them on a much more personal journey.
And Captain America will showcase… What’s exciting to me about Cap – sort of about Iron Man 3 too if you look at it – is it’s tonally almost like a different genre. Shane Black’s described Iron Man 3 as a Tom Clancy sort of political thriller, which I like a lot. We hired our directors on Cap because they loved our explanation that we really want to make a ’70s political thriller masquerading as a big superhero movie. I love that we’re doing a sequel to a film that’s a completely different genre than the first film. I think that’s fun. And the comics do it all the time.”
Back in January, tie-in Iron Man 3 toys first revealed a “Deep Space Suit” that, later, added legitimacy to a report, via Latino Review, which spoiled what the films post-credits teaser will entail. Linking it to the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Spoiler Warning
According to Io9 and other sources, after the Chitauri attack,Tony Stark creates the “Space Suit” “using a unique new metal alloy that absorbs his ARC Reactor energy signature. Tony travels into the far reaches of space to find the source of a coded SOS he receives at the end of Iron Man 3. The SOS is from a masked Star-Lord, so Tony takes off to find him (noting that, with the space armor, he’s “ready this time”). Jarvis asks Tony where he’s going, replying, “I’ll be back.”
Considering it was previously reported that Tony Stark would also pop up during the Guardians of the Galaxy post-credits teaser, the above spoiler implies that Guardians will take place either before or concurrently with Iron Man 3 events on Marvel’s cinematic timeline.
Another Minor Spoiler Warning
What happens in Guardians of the Galaxy that’ll prompt Star-Lord to ask for Iron Man’s help, while also leading up to the 2015 follow-up to The Avengers? Who knows! An Io9 user speculates that Thanos is the source of distress and Star-lord is warning Stark that the Mad Titan is coming to Earth; and this is where The Avengers sequel begins.
